Is Coreage Rx legit?

A real business with a real prescription requirement. The question worth asking is what it dispenses and what it bills — $199 a month.

How we make money: one company on this page — Coreage Rx — pays us a commission when a reader signs up through our link. It buys them nothing else: not a better score, not a higher place in the table, not the removal of a single criticism. Our scoring method and full disclosure are both public.

Short answer: Coreage Rx is a real, operating telehealth business that requires a prescription and a clinician review, and there is nothing in what we checked to suggest otherwise. The longer answer is about what exactly it dispenses and what it charges.

"Legit" tends to mean two different things when people search it. One is "will I be scammed" — and on that, Coreage Rx behaves like a legitimate business. The other is "is what I am being sold what I think it is", and that is the question worth more of your time.

What we verified

  • Compounded tirzepatide advertised from $149/month on the annual plan, $199/month otherwise.
  • Compounded semaglutide advertised from $99/month on the annual plan.
  • A three-month tirzepatide block has been offered at $589 covering any dose up to 15 mg per week.
  • Pricing is flat-rate: there is no separate monthly membership stacked on top of the medication price.
  • Dose increases within the covered range do not change the price, which is unusual in this market.
  • Health coaching is bundled rather than sold as an upgrade.

The five-point check

  • Requires a prescription and a clinician review. Yes — Coreage Rx routes intake through a licensed clinician before anything ships. Any seller that does not is the single clearest warning sign in this market.
  • Dispenses FDA-approved medication. No — this is a compounded preparation, which the FDA has not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality. That is true of most low-cost programmes and is not by itself a mark against them, but you should know it.
  • Names its compounding pharmacy. Not publicly. Ask before you order, and ask whether it is a 503A pharmacy or a registered 503B outsourcing facility.
  • Publishes its ongoing price. Partly. The advertised figure is $149 and the billed figure is $199 — The $99 and $149 rates are annual-plan prices. If you want month-to-month, budget $149 and $199 instead, and check the refund terms before prepaying a year.
  • States what happens on cancellation. Reasonably clearly, and leaving is straightforward.

What "compounded" means here. A compounding pharmacy prepares the medication against an individual prescription. It is legal and long-established, but the preparation itself is not FDA-approved. Since the shortages resolved the rules have narrowed considerably — see is compounded still legal.

Where it falls short

  • The headline rates require the annual commitment; month-to-month costs more.
  • Compounded medication only, so there is no path to branded Zepbound or Wegovy inside the program.
  • Insurance is not billed — this is a cash-pay program.

Red flags we did not find

  • No prescription requirement — not the case here.
  • Medication sold as "research chemicals" or "not for human consumption" — not the case here.
  • Prices far below every other seller, which usually signals an unlicensed source.
  • No way to contact a clinician after purchase.
  • No named clinical leadership anywhere on the site.

Our verdict

Coreage Rx is legitimate in the sense most people mean. Whether it is *right* for you is a separate question, and it comes down to the $199 a month and the headline rates require the annual commitment; month-to-month costs more. Our full assessment is in the Coreage Rx tirzepatide review.
